Activities in Norfolk

North West Norfolk has much to offer in the way of activities. Watersports and sailing at Hunstanton, Brancaster, Burnham Overy Staithe & Morston are a great daytime activity and information on how to book courses, lessons and rent boats is available online.

Fisherman can enjoy coastal fishing as well as a large offering in the fens. Horse riding is available for those interested in exploring the countryside, or even a beach, on horseback.

Wildlife

Norfolk boasts some of the UK’s best reserves for bird species in the UK. The coastline is full of mudflats, estuaries, sand dunes, beaches and marshes and is teeming with wildlife. Cley Marshes, Holme Dunes and RSPB Titchwell are well worth a visit. Inland you can enjoy the Breckland and Broads sites where numerous reserves are home to a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Strumpshaw Fen, Sculthorpe Moor and Thetford Forest are just a few.

Cycle Hire

Guests of the Fring Estate have the option to pre-order bikes to their properties for some or all of their stay. These are a great way of exploring the local area both on road or trail.

There are mountain bikes and road bikes to choose from as well as children’s bikes and trailers.
